Welcome to CASA Guides

CASA (Common Astronomy Software Applications) is a comprehensive software package to calibrate, image, and analyze radioastronomical data from interferometers (such as ALMA and EVLA, both shown below) as well as single dish telescopes. This wiki provides examples and hints for reducing data in CASA.

  • 15 November 2011: CASA 3.3.0 is now available from casa.nrao.edu
  • 7 Oct 2011: CASA has now a Users' Forum (as part of the NRAO Science Forum): science.nrao.edu/forums
  • August 2011: We are now providing 'stable' CASA versions, with less tested, less documented, but newer code and recent bugfixes. The 'stable' is available from the "Obtaining CASA" link on casa.nrao.edu
